Ukraine fills its underground gas storage facilities ahead of schedule. This was announced by Minister of Energy Herman Halushchenko, according to the press service of the ministry.
More than 13 billion cubic meters have been pumped into underground storage facilities. As winter draws closer, Halushchenko noted, the load on gas extraction and gas distribution facilities will increase. This is caused by the increasing complexity of logistic routes and the use of gas for power generation.
European companies are also actively filling Ukrainian underground gas storage facilities. The total amount of foreign gas stored there is 600 million cubic meters.
