bill_line launched payments with Telegram Pay

Ukrainian fintech company bill_line has launched a new method as part of its payment solution. It’s Telegram Pay. According to the company's website, the new method allows users to make payments directly in the chat without going via additional links.

What’s Telegram Pay?

Messenger launched quick payments in chats and channels back in April 2021. Since then, more than 20 companies operating in 200 countries have become Telegram Pay payment providers. Seven companies from this list are from Ukrainian fintech. One of them is bill_line.

How it works

Telegram Pay allows businesses to accept payments directly in the messenger. After switching to payment, the customer no longer needs to leave the app – Telegram immediately opens the payment page. The user can pay either via the familiar Apple Pay or Google Pay, or enter card data and save it in Telegram Pay for future payments.

What’s the benefit?

The payment method gained a new wave of popularity a year later. In its April 2022 update, Telegram launched "bot revolution" with creating an online stores based on chatbots: with the usual product pages, a shopping cart and, of course, payments.

Quote"We’ve been working with Telegram Pay method for almost a year now, which we received from one of our friendly companies. During this time, the method has shown its high relevance for various business purposes: from small shops without a website that need a method familiar to their audience, to large businesses that want to be where their audience is. That is why bill_line became a Telegram Pay provider. It will strengthen our payment solution and simplify many processes for our partners», — Artsiom Liashanau, CEO of bill_line.

As a reminder, in January, bill_line published record results for 2022: over the past 12 months, the company doubled the number of processed transactions.
