The Armed Forces of Ukraine held exercises using high-precision weapons—operational-tactical attack drones Bayraktar and anti-tank missile systems Javelin. The instructional methods exercises were held at the training ground Shyrokyi Lan in the presence of the Minister of Defense Oleksiy Reznikov.
"Considering the experience of the military operations in the area of the Joint Forces Operation, we practised new tactics of their use in combat conditions and showed them to the commanders of brigades and regiments. We also showed their combined application during the night and in poor visibility conditions," Valeriy Zaluzhny, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported.

The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also joined the final exercises for 2021. When using strike and fighter aircraft, they practiced air strikes against a potential enemy.
"The strike aircraft—the Su-24M and Su-25 planes under the cover of the MiG-29 and Su-27 fighters—carried out missile and bomb strikes against ground targets. After that, the fighters practised air battles and delivered simulated strikes on ground and surface targets in the Black Sea," the report states.

As part of the exercises, an An-26 military transport aircraft was also intercepted, allegedly captured by the terrorists.
Context. Ukrainian intelligence expects a new Russian invasion of Ukraine in late January—early February. American colleagues share these forecasts and call on Europe to develop a joint action plan to contain the Kremlin as soon as possible. At the same time, the RF assures that the dissemination of such data is a "hysteria", allegedly artificially whipped up by Washington.
