Ukraine's and Eastern Europe's largest shopping and entertainment center, Respublika Park, has reported significant changes in its tenant mix, aimed at supporting businesses and expanding offerings for visitors.
According to Yulia Shchaslyva, CEO of Respublika Park, the mall is implementing a flexible approach to forming its set of tenants, taking into account the challenges businesses face.
"We understand that businesses are going through difficult times, so we consider each request separately, taking into account the specifics of the business, turnover, premises area, and other factors," Yulia Shchaslyva noted.
The mall is actively working on bringing back international brands and attracting new ones.
"All international brands that were open as of February 23, 2022, are already operating again. This has significantly impacted mall attendance. For example, after H&M store opened in November, we recorded a 10% increase in traffic, and the reopening of Inditex stores in April led to a 15% increase in visitor numbers," the CEO reported.
An important aspect of the new strategy is supporting Ukrainian manufacturers. On May 18, 2024, Respublika Park shopping mall held a grand opening of the Ukrainian brands space Vsi.Svoi.
"Over 50 carefully selected local manufacturers of clothing, footwear, and accessories are located on an area of 1,000 square meters. Most of the brands presented are exclusively available only at Respublika Park shopping mall," Yulia Shchaslyva emphasized.
Throughout the year, the mall plans to open at least 20 more new stores from Ukrainian and international brands. Additionally, an expansion of the food court with 4-5 new restaurants from well-known chains is planned.
"Our goal is to ensure an optimal balance and variety of offerings to meet the needs of all visitor categories. We don't observe an outflow of customers from Ukrainian brands with the return of international operators. On the contrary, during their absence, many Ukrainian manufacturers have significantly strengthened their positions and gained popularity among visitors," added the CEO of Respublika Park.
Yulia Shchaslyva also noted that the mall continues to work on optimizing the tenant mix, taking into account changes in consumer behavior. "We see that now visitors are looking not only for shopping but also for emotions and leisure. Therefore, we strive to create a comprehensive space where you can do all your shopping, receive services, and have fun in one place," she concluded.
