The Verkhovna Rada says that Ukraine spends more than $3 billion on weapons monthly. Therefore, during the full-scale invasion, Ukraine’s allies are helping it. Ukraine will receive €35 million in financial aid from the European Commission. The money will be provided within the framework of the Support from the European Union for Recovery and Reforms program.
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal reported it on October 31 on his Telegram channel.
"Our partners are actively helping us with recovery. In particular, today we are approving the agreement on the financing of the Support to the European Union for Recovery and Reforms program. After it is signed, the European Commission will allocate €335 million in aid," he said.
What will the money be spent for?
The Prime Minister said that this money will be spent for funding:
- restoration of infrastructure, in particular energy infrastructure;
- aid to businesses;
- anti-corruption measures;
- environmental protection;
- digitalization.
"We thank our European allies for always being there," concluded the Prime Minister.
