The Ukrainian fleet of 155-mm self-propelled howitzers will be replenished with eight pieces of Zuzana 2. The Slovak and Ukrainian defense ministries have signed a corresponding contract.
"I am glad to confirm that the contract for Zuzana 2 howitzers for Ukraine was signed — 8 pieces will be delivered to Ukraine," Slovak Defense Minister Jaroslav Naď tweeted.
Context. Recall: On May 30, Slovakia confirmed the provision of 155-mm Zuzana 2 self-propelled howitzers to Ukraine in the amount of 8 pieces.
Three types of 155-mm artillery are already successfully operating on the front line: the M777 howitzer, the FH70 howitzer, and the CAESAR SPH. One of the modifications of the M109 SPHs has also already arrived in Ukraine.
