The 11th day of the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people to the russian military invasion has begun. The armed forces and units of the Security and Defense Forces are fighting fierce battles to hold certain lines. The enemy, having suffered casualties, is making constant attempts to evade direct fire contact with our troops.

This is stated in the latest report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) as of 06:00 on March 6.

Information by the General Staff

The group of the joint forces is sustaining a defensive operation in the eastern part of the Donetsk operational area. The main efforts are focused on the defense of Mariupol and inflicting fire damage on superior enemy forces.

Other groups are fighting defensive battles in Slobozhanshchyna and eastern parts of the Tauride directions. The units of the air assault troops stopped the enemy columns that were trying to advance to the Dnepropetrovsk region from the direction of Balakliia.

In the Siversk direction, an operation is being sustained to defend Chernihiv.

In the Volyn direction, measures are being taken to prepare a defense line along the state border of Ukraine.

In the Prymorsk direction, the defense of naval stations and seaports on the Black Sea is carried out. In the Mykolaiv region, a lot of armored and automotive vehicles of the enemy were captured.

In other directions, units and subunits of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are sustaining a stabilization operation and performing territorial defense tasks in order to prevent offensive operations and the activities of enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups.

The air forces concentrated their efforts on repelling enemy air and missile strikes and covering important facilities and groupings of troops. The total casualties of aviation equipment of the russian occupation forces is already 88 aircraft and helicopters.

The enemy is trying not to lose their offensive potential, but they suffer heavy casualties in weapons, equipment, and personnel. Thanks to the resistance of the entire Ukrainian people, the enemy is demoralized.
