Zelenskyy recalls Ukrainian peacekeepers from all countries

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy ordered to recall the national contingent and national personnel participating in international peace and security operations to Ukraine for participating in defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state.

This is stated in Presidential Order No. 114 of March 7.

To date, Ukraine takes part in the following UN peacekeeping operations:

  • Kosovo—2 persons of permanent contingent;
  • Sudan—6 persons;
  • South Sudan—4 persons;
  • Cyprus—1 person;
  • Mali—5 persons.

Thus, no more than 20 people will return to Ukraine. Therefore, the Presidential Order has mainly political and moral meaning, and not military one.
