Ukraine and the United States signed a document on cooperation in the field of energy. As part of this cooperation the U.S. side plans to invest up to $30 billion in the nuclear power generation industry of our country.
As President Volodymyr Zelenskyy told reporters in the United States, the document was signed following a meeting with US Secretary of Energy Jennifer Grenholm during his visit to Washington, the outlet Suspilne reports.
«We see that there will be a comprehensive investment in the nuclear power generation industry of Ukraine... We believe that they will amount from $5 to $30 billion.»

The Head of the State said that this agreement is only the first part of cooperation between the United States and Ukraine and called it "a powerful victory for both countries."
Other details are still unknown, but according to Zelenskyy, Minister of Energy German Galushchenko and the Head of Naftogaz Yuriy Vitrenko can tell the details, in particular regarding green energy.
Furthermore, the President added that Ukraine also sees the support of the US Department of Energy in the issue of the Russian gas pipeline Nord Stream 2.
Context. Recall that a meeting between Zelenskyy and US President Joe Biden is also scheduled on September 1. Before that, the Presidents did not meet in person, they only had a phone conversation.
