Zelensky's and Servant of the People's ratings deepened the drop: which politician and party is trusted more

The sociological group "Rating" conducted a survey of Ukrainians about trust in politicians and parties. The rating was headed by President Volodymyr Zelensky who is trusted by 41% and not trusted by 56% of respondents.

Politicians’ approval rating

  • Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko—30% of respondents trust him, and 58% do not.
  • Ex-Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman is trusted by 29%, and not trusted by 61%.
  • Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Dmytro Razumkov—27% and 30%, respectively.
  • People's Deputy Yulia Tymoshenko is trusted by 25%, and not trusted by 73%.
  • People's Deputy Yurii Boyko is trusted by 24%, and not trusted by 55%.
  • The incumbent Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal is trusted by 16%, a quarter of the respondents do not know him, and over half do not trust him.

At the same time, the study notes that Zelensky (-15%) and Razumkov (-13%) have the best balance of trust/distrust. For Klitschko the difference is -28%, for Boyko -31%, for Groisman -32%, for Shmyрal -38%.

Rating of the President of Ukraine

If the elections were held in the near future, then those who intend to vote and have made their choice would support Zelensky the most—26.5% of those polled. For ex-President Petro Poroshenko, 14.3% would vote, Boyko—10%, Tymoshenko—9.8%.

Parties rating

If the elections were held in the near future, then those who intend to vote and have made their choice would support the Servant of the People party most of all—over 21% of them.

  • Opposition Platform—For Life—17.3%;
  • European Solidarity—15.2%;
  • Fatherland (Batkivshchyna)—10.9%.
  • Ukrainian Strategy of Groysman—4.8%;
  • Radical Party—4.8%;
  • For the Future—4.3%.

The rest of the parties would receive less than 4% of the votes.


The study was carried out on December 6—20, 2020 among the population of Ukraine aged 18 and over in all regions except for the temporarily occupied territories of Crimea and Donbass. 2 thousand respondents were polled using the personal formalized interview method.


Context. In November, Volodymyr Zelensky topped the rating of trust in politicians, despite the fact that 60% of respondents are not satisfied with his activities to fight the coronavirus pandemic. 46% of respondents trusted him, 51% did not trust him.
