The Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov promised that coronavirus vaccination of Ukrainians will begin before the end of this week.
This was announced by the Chairmperson of the Committee on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy Danil Getmantsev.
According to him, vaccination did not start on February 15 as planned due to technical matters that have not been resolved, but it will start by the end of the week.
Prior to that, Stepanov stated that the first batch of coronavirus vaccine is expected in Ukraine on February 16-17. Ukraine is to receive vaccines from Pfizer under COVAX and the medication from AstraZeneca that was purchased by the government.
Context. According to the government plan, vaccinations were to begin on February 15th. In general, the vaccination plan has five stages at which different categories of citizens will be vaccinated, depending on their work and health status.
