Ukrainians have begun to trust vaccination less: who is ready to be vaccinated against coronavirus

The sociological group Rating conducted a survey of Ukrainians. According to its results it became known about the willingness of Ukrainians to be vaccinated and support for quarantine measures.

Willingness of Ukrainians to be vaccinated against coronavirus

Thus, 39% of Ukrainians are ready to be vaccinated against coronavirus if the medication is available in pharmacies. At the same time, 56% are not ready. Moreover, if the vaccination is free, 43% want to be vaccinated, but 52% do not.

At the same time, fewer Ukrainians support vaccination—in November 55% of Ukrainians supported free vaccination, and the number of those who were not ready to receive free vaccines increased.

Lockdown support in Ukraine

The lockdown introduction in Ukraine from 8 to 24 January 2021 is supported by 51% of Ukrainians, 46% are against it. It should be noted that in December 2020 the initiative was supported by 56% of respondents.

40% of respondents believe that the quarantine introduction will reduce the incidence rate (52% thought so in December), 55% disagree with this opinion. At the same time, 30% of those who support the lockdown consider it ineffective.


On January 14-16, Rating conducted a survey of Ukrainians aged 18 and over. 1600 people were polled by telephone interview using a computer.


Context. In November, it became known that more than half of Ukrainians are ready to be vaccinated against coronavirus if the vaccine is free. However, 40% are not ready to get vaccinated even for free.
