Ukrainian defenders took control of the principal heights around Bakhmut, Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Maliar reported.
"In Bakhmut, it’s been a few days that our defenders have kept the city’s entrances and exits as well as the enemy’s movements at gunpoint," she said.
The Russian combat losses between February 24, 2022, and July 10, 2023 have been estimated to be more than 234,400 personnel and hundreds of thousand pieces of military equipment.
