On June 26, the Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated the village of Rivnopil in the Donetsk region from the Russian invaders. The Ukrainian army thus virtually liquidated the bulge that threatened Velyka Novosilka.
Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Maliar reported this on Telegram.
"The Defense Forces reclaimed control of Rivnopil," Maliar wrote.
Earlier, the Armed Forces of Ukraine regained territory near Krasnohorivka, Donetsk region, which had been occupied since 2014. As of June 26, the AFU have had 36 engagements with the Russian invaders on the Lyman, Bakhmut, and Mariinka axes.
