After Ukraine had suspended air traffic with Belarus, the Cabinet of Ministers banned aircraft registered in the Republic of Belarus from using the airspace of our country from 00:00 on May 29.
This was reported on the Facebook page of the Ministry of Infrastructure.
"Restricting flights in the airspace of Belarus and transit flights for Belarusian companies are necessary steps to ensure the safety of aviation and passengers. Now the team of the Ministry of Infrastructure, together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is developing operational solutions in order to attract new transit air routes to Ukraine. We count on the support of our international partners ".

Recall that Belavia operated a flight from Antalya (Turkey) to Minsk from Ukraine the previous day.
Context. Ukraine suspended air traffic with Belarus on May 26. Our country made such a decision due to the forced landing of a Ryanair plane in Minsk and the detention of Belarusian journalist Roman Protasevich.
