The Ukrainian army entered the village of Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region, according to Hanna Maliar, deputy minister of defense.
"Our fighters are performing planned combat work and neutralizing the enemy. In response, the Russians are continuously shelling Robotyne with artillery," she said.
Local residents of the village met the Ukrainian military with tears in their eyes. The video footage was published by the YouTube channel of the Ground Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Ukrainian soldiers have already organized the evacuation of civilians on Bradley infantry fighting vehicles.
On their way to the village, the fighters inflicted considerable losses on the enemy. In particular, they destroyed tanks in whole convoys. Several powerful videos of the work of Ukrainian defenders have been published on the Bavovna Telegram channel administered by blogger Ihor Lachenkov.
