The Cabinet dismissed Kobolev. Vitrenko will become the Head of Naftogaz

The Cabinet of Ministers dismissed the Head of Naftogaz Andriy Kobolev. It is planned to appoint the Acting Minister of Energy and the former Executive Director of the company, Yuriy Vitrenko, to this position. This was told to The Page by a source in the Cabinet of Ministers. Kobolev himself wrote on his Facebook page that he had not written the letter of resignation and had found out about his dismissal from the news.

At the same time, the information about Kobolev's dismissal was confirmed by the people's deputy from the Servant of the People Olha Vasylevska-Smahlyuk in her Telegram channel following a government meeting. The people's deputy from the European Solidarity in his Telegram channel said that Vitrenko had been appointed to the post of Head of Naftogaz.

At the same time, the source of the agency Interfax-Ukraine claims that Vitrenko will replace Kobolev temporarily, namely for a year. In doing so, the powers of the supervisory board have been also suspended.

Earlier it became known that the Verkhovna Rada may vote on April 29 for the appointment of Herman Galushchenko as Minister of Energy instead of Vitrenko. You can read more about this here.

Context. Vitrenko was appointed Acting Minister of Energy in December 2020. In early April, the media reported on his resignation, the official himself denied information that he had allegedly written a letter of resignation.
