Another low-cost airline enters Ukrainian market: Where it flies and what airfare is

The Spanish low-cost air carrier Vueling has started operating in Ukraine. The low-cost airline has launched regular flights between Orly (Paris) and Boryspil (Kyiv) airports. One-way tickets cost from 30 euros, according to the press service of the Ukrainian airport.

The airline flies from Kyiv twice a week (every Tuesday and Thursday). Vueling offers customers A320, A321, and A319 aircraft.

Quote"We are pleased to welcome another airline to our aviation family—Vueling Airlines... This demonstrates that the passenger traffic will resume soon and that our strategy to attract new carriers and expand our network is working and is yielding some results. The beginning of cooperation with Vueling is very important for us because another European low-cost airline has confirmed its interest in Ukraine," Oleksii Dubrevsky, the General Director of Boryspil airport, stated.

Context. As a reminder, on November 25, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the establishment of a state-owned airline in Ukraine under the working name Ukrainian National Airlines.

On November 24, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal instructed the Ministry of Infrastructure to reduce prices for air tickets within Ukraine.
