Russian warship, go fuck yourself. Invaders threaten independent Ukrainian media

On 31 March 2022, The Page’s editorial staff got the messages on their personal phone numbers with threats, sent from Russian phone numbers. It has to do with the fact that since the outbreak of the invasion on February 24, we have been reporting the truth about the war in Ukraine that Russia unleashed on our territory.

Unidentified persons threaten The Page employees with prison for "replicating anti-Russian fakes" and "discrediting the Russian armed forces."

"Soon Russian soldiers will be in your city and will free it from Bandera's followers. You will have to be responsible for replicating anti-Russian fakes and for discrediting the armed forces of the Russian Federation. You will be responsible for everything already according to the Russian laws. Your curators from the SSU and Zelenskнy's pack will not help you. Jail awaits you!" one message reads.

Another text says that The Page is allegedly replicating "anti-Russian fakes to please the neo-Nazi propaganda of Zelenskyн’s puppet regime", and that the editorial staff will have to "be held accountable according to the Russian Federation law for criminal acts."

Given that the editorial staff’s phone numbers that receive threats are published on our website as contact numbers, we regard this as a threat to independent Ukrainian media. Please regard this article as an appeal to the Security Service of Ukraine.

Recall that on February 24, Russia unleashed a full-scale war in Ukraine. Since then, the business outlet The Page that previously had reported mainly about economics and business, has focused its efforts on covering the war crimes of the Russian army on the territory of our state.
