Western intelligence pointed out the buildup of Russian military assets near the Ukrainian border. Currently, there are up to 120,000 soldiers and officers of the armed forces of the Russian Federation there. The intelligence agencies' top official announced such data to the DPA agency, DW reports.
The source added that the specified number does not take into account militants in ORDLO (temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine). It is estimated that there are about 35,000 of them there.
The intelligence agencies predict that Moscow will continue to build up its military presence near the Ukrainian border. It is estimated that there are currently about 60 battalion tactical groups (600-1000 men each) there.
