Struggle for the offices in the Cabinet: candidates for Ministers of Economy, Infrastructure, and Health

A number of personnel changes awaits the Ukrainian government. Minister of Infrastructure Vladyslav Kryklii and Minister for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture Ihor Petrashko wrote resignation letters on Friday, May 14. The question remains, who will replace them.

However, information appeared that the current head of the State Tax Service, Oleksiy Lyubchenko, is going to be appointed to the post of Minister of Economy. And the head of Ukravtodor Oleksandr Kubrakov may take charge of the Ministry of Infrastructure. This was announced by the People's Deputy from the Servant of the People Oleksandr Kachura.

Also, the head of the tax committee Danylo Hetmantsev wrote about appointing Lyubchenko to the post of Minister of Economy.

Also, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal sent to the Rada a submission on the dismissal of Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov. Instead, according to the head of the Servant of the People faction David Arakhamia, Chief Sanitary Doctor Viktor Lyashko may become the head of the Ministry of Health.

In particular, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Dmytro Razumkov, noted that an extraordinary session of the parliament is planned. It will consider resignation letters of Kryklii and Petrashko, as well as Shmyhal's submission on Stepanov's dismissal.

The Servant of the People faction applied for an extraordinary session on 14 May. An extraordinary session may take place as early as Tuesday, May 18.

Context. Deputy Chairman of the Servant of the People faction Oleksandr Korniienko said that at the session on May 17, the deputies plan to discuss the possible resignation of Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov.
