Biography
Born on May 23, 1979 in Sochi, Russia. Since 1992, he is a refugee from Abkhazia. The family moved from Gagra to Mykolaiv because of the war. He received Ukrainian citizenship in 2015.
Education: European University (Ukraine).

Career
David Arakhamia is one of the co-founders of the international IT company TemplateMonster. The company was founded in 2002 and is now one of the world leaders in the sale of web templates.
Arakhamia created crowdfunding platform for volunteers People's Project.
He was a Euromaidan activist in Mykolaiv. In March 2014, together with his friends, he created a website to raise funds for the equipment for the 79th brigade paratroopers. This was the beginning of People's Project volunteer initiative that helps the Ukrainian military in the ATO zone.
In October 2014, he became an advisor to the Minister of Defense Valeriy Heletey and head of the Council of Volunteers under the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
According to Heletey, Arakhamia raised UAH 27 million for the army back then. Since March 2014, in Ukraine there is 'action 565' that motivates Ukrainians to call or send SMS to 565 and transfer 5 hryvnias for the army needs.
In August 2014, he became an advisor on volunteer activities to the head of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration Vadym Merikov.
In November 2014, he became a co-founder of the Association of People's Volunteers and curator of the so-called "volunteer landing force" that works in the Ministry of Defense.
In 2016, Arakhamia founded Weblium web platform.
Since 2017, he is a co-founder of the public organization International Center for Security and Defense Strategies.
On July 9, 2019, Volodymyr Zelensky appointed David Arakhamia a member of the Ukroboronprom state concern's Supervisory Board.

Politics
In April 2019, David Arakhamia thanked Petro Poroshenko for all his work.
'I lived in the neighborhood and saw what time he used to come back home. I saw him in the beginning and I see him now — it is clear that he put a lot of his strength and energy. For keeping the country at the most decisive moment, making Ukraine a subject in international politics, for a visa-free regime, for always being ready to help the army, and that it really got stronger.'

According to Arakhamia, he met Volodymyr Zelensky for the first time only after his victory in the presidential elections. Zelensky "simply called" him as he was looking for a person for the Minister of Defence position.
In July 2019, in the elections to the Verkhovna Rada, he passed on the list of the Servants of the People party under No. 4.
In August 2019, he was elected head of the Servant of the People faction. He also became a member of the Committee on National Security, Defence and Intelligence.

Scandals
Information in the verification process
In October 2019, Teplopostachservis sued David Arakhamia in Zavodskyi District Court of Mykolaiv to demand David to pay off the debt (UAH 4000) for heating.
In November 2019, ex-People's Deputy Ihor Mosiychuk told the media that Arakhamia is a US citizen.
Arakhamia commented on this information:
'He complains to his friends that he only has 100 "likes" on Facebook. I don't want to make a star out of him. He has 100 likes. I feel sorry for the man. He left politics, no one notices him, nobody likes him. Here, he wants some kind of scandal ... Arakhamiagate. Let's call it Arakhamiagate,' said the People's Deputy.

In December 2019, People's Deputy Anna Skorokhod filed a lawsuit against Arakhamia. She stated that she was unlawfully expelled from Servant of the People. The case of protection her honor is being considered at the place of Anna's residence, in one of the district courts of Mykolaiv.

Crime
Information in the verification process
In 2016, former MP Ivan Vinnik accused volunteer Arakhamia of allegedly trying to steal UAH 132 million on purchasing fuel for the Ministry of Defense. The people's deputy appealed to the court with a demand to refute this information.
In March 2020, Podilskyi District Court of Kyiv City dismissed Arakhamia's claim.
