More than 1,185,000 Ukrainian citizens were illegally deported to the territory of the Russian Federation. Lyudmila Denisova, Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada, stated this at a briefing, Ukrinform reports.
Denisova specified that there were more than 200,000 children among the deported Ukrainians. According to her, those citizens of Ukraine who have been "filtered" in "filtration camps" created by the Russian Federation in the temporarily occupied territories are subject to forced deportation.
She noted that in some "camps" there are more than 20,000 Ukrainian citizens.
Denisova showed three certificates necessary for a person to be able to move around in the occupied territories: on passing fingerprinting (confirms that a person has been filtered), a pass for moving through the settlement where the filtration camp is located, and a pass that is needed to go outside locality. According to her, nothing is known about the fate of those who did not pass the filtration.
