On Tuesday, November 15, explosions rang out in Kyiv. At about 2:20 p.m., an air raid alert was issued in the capital city and most of the Ukrainian regions.
Later, the air alert spread over all regions of Ukraine, and after a while, reports of explosions began to arrive, in particular in the Sumy and Kirovohrad regions. After that, information appeared about the sounds of explosions in Kyiv and the Kyiv Region.

According to the air alert map, as of 6:30 p.m., an all-clear was issued in most regions of Ukraine.
After the massive shelling, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed the Ukrainians. He asserted that despite all the damage, Ukraine would rebuild everything.
"85 missile strikes were made on Ukraine, on our cities. Mostly on the energy infrastructure. It is clear what the enemy wants. He will not get what he wants. There may still be about 20 strikes ahead, so I am asking you all: take care of yourself and stay in shelters for a while," said the President of Ukraine. "In many cities, our power engineers are already working, so we will restore everything and survive everything."
As of 5:30 p.m., Russia had already fired almost 100 missiles at Ukraine, surpassing the most massive attack on October 10.
"Over the entire territory of Ukraine, 80 missiles have already been launched, and about 20 more are in the air. That is, almost 100 missiles have already been launched over the territory of Ukraine. The invaders surpassed the October 10 strikes, when 84 missiles were fired. So we already have a hundred. This is a massive missile strike. Critical infrastructure facilities are the first target. But, unfortunately, missiles also hit residential buildings," said Yurii Ihnat, speaker of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
At approximately 4:00 p.m., power was lost in a number of regions of Ukraine, as well as mobile communication. In particular, this was reported by the mobile operator "Kyivstar". In the absence of communication, customers were encouraged to use national roaming.
In addition, there is information about explosions in the Mykolaiv region and Odesa. According to preliminary data, air defense was working.
November 15 missile strike on Kyiv
The first information about the explosions in Kyiv came at approximately 3:05 p.m.. Later, it became known that the air defense system was working in the city, as reported by local residents.
In a few minutes, it became known about the repeated sounds of explosions in the capital. Smoke was visible at the hit sites. It was not known exactly where the explosions occurred, as it is forbidden to distribute such information.

UPDATE. Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klychko reported that several Russian missiles hit residential buildings in the city's Pechersk District.
"According to preliminary information, two residential buildings were hit in the Pechersk District. Air defense shot down several missiles over Kyiv. Medics and rescuers are working at the scene. More detailed information later," the head of the Kyiv Administration announced.
At approximately 4:00 p.m., it became known about another hit in Kyiv. A high-rise building was hit, said the mayor of the city, Vitalii Klychko. He did not reveal any other details.
Explosions in the Kyiv Region on November 15
Along with the information about explosions in Kyiv, explosions in the Kyiv Region were also spotted. It was previously reported that the air defense system was operating in the region. Later, this information was confirmed by the head of Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Oleksii Kuleba.
"Kyiv Region! Air defense is working in the region. Downed objects have been reported. Do not photograph or film the hit sites. Stay in shelters!" Kuleba wrote on Telegram.
Explosions in the Sumy Region on November 15
Immediately after an air alert was issued, it became known about explosions in the Sumy Region. Later, information was received about repeated explosions. So far, there is information about the successful work of air defense in the region. Nothing is known about hits.
Explosions in the Kirovohrad Region on November 15
The first explosions in the Kirovohrad region also occurred immediately after the air raid alert. Approximately 30 minutes later, explosions rang out in the region, namely in the city of Kropyvnytskyi. There is no official information yet.
November 15 missile strike on Lviv
At approximately 4:10 p.m., explosions rang out in Lviv. This was confirmed by the mayor of the city, Andrii Sadovyi. According to him, part of Lviv was left without electricity due to shelling.
Air defense working in the Cherkasy, Vinnytsia, and Poltava regions on November 15
The authorities of three regions of Ukraine — the Cherkasy, Vinnytsia, and Poltava regions — reported on the successful operation of air defense during the air raid alert. As of 4:20 p.m., there were no reports of hits from these regions.
Explosions in Kharkiv on November 15
During the air raid, explosions were also heard both in Kharkiv and in the Kharkiv Region. It is known that after the hits, problems with power supply began in the region, and in Kharkiv itself, the work of the subway was stopped.
