The twentieth day of the Russian-Ukrainian war of 2022 continues. The situation on the fronts is without significant changes, the defense forces of Ukraine continue to successfully resist the invaders.
During the day, the enemy did not conduct active offensive operations, focusing efforts on making up for the current losses and solving problematic issues of logistical support, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
Russian military commanders are recruiting mercenaries from other countries. Information has repeatedly been received about the organization of training centers for mercenaries in Russian Smolensk and Belarusian Gomel and Bobruisk.
Volyn direction
Here the aggressor has a grouping on the Ukrainian-Belarusian state border. There is still a high probability of provocations aimed at involving the Belarusian side into the occupation forces.
Polissia direction
The enemy made an unsuccessful attempt to break through the defense of our troops in the direction of Huta-Mezhyhirska and Liutizh. The invaders also unsuccessfully tried to recapture Makariv.
Siversk direction
The enemy is trying to increase the grouping, to organize logistical support to resume the attack on Chernihiv.
Slobozhanshchyna direction
The main goal of the enemy here remains the blockade of the cities of Sumy and Kharkiv.
Donetsk and Tauride directions
The occupiers were unsuccessful near Lysychansk, suffered casualties and were forced to withdraw. Near Rubizhne, the enemy is trying to gain a foothold on the western outskirts of the city. They continue assault operations on the western and eastern outskirts of Mariupol with the support of aviation and artillery.
Pivdennyi Buh direction
The enemy does not carry out active actions, they try to hold the previously captured positions.
Being mercilessly hammered, the enemy systematically violates the norms of International Humanitarian Law and terrorizes civilians. The occupying troops deliver missile and air strikes on civilian targets, civilians, and critical infrastructure.
Such actions are another evidence that the enemy's moral and psychological condition is low. This creates additional problems for the occupying command to make up for losses in a timely manner and reinforce their defeated formations.
