The twenty-second day of the Russia-Ukraine war 2022 continues. The enemy is not desisting from its efforts to reach the administrative borders of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions, but fails.
In order to paralyze the actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the enemy is trying to block the settlements to the north from the capital, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
The Russian-fascist invaders also continue to destroy civilian infrastructure in regions where there are no active hostilities. First of all, this refers to the Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
Volyn direction
The Russian-fascist invaders intensively use the infrastructure of the Republic of Belarus (RB) to strike at the territory of Ukraine. This is also where the logistical support for the grouping of the occupying forces operating in the Polissia direction takes place.
There is still a possibility that certain units of the armed forces of the RB will participate in hostilities on the side of the Russian Federation.
Polissia direction
The enemy is making attempts to capture the previously occupied lines, lost as a result of the successful actions of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They did not succeed in this direction and are trying to regroup troops and provide logistics.
Siversk direction
The enemy did not conduct active offensive operations. They continue preparing for the resumption of the offensive with the aim of further blocking Kyiv from the northeast direction. They carry out chaotic shelling of the positions of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and try to execute reconnaissance.
Slobozhanshchyna direction
The occupiers are trying to carry out offensive actions from the area of the city of Izium, but they failed. The enemy is trying to gain a foothold on the occupied lines and improve the system of logistics.
The Russian invaders are reinforcing the grouping with additional units of the 1st Tank Army and coastal units of the Baltic Fleet.
Donetsk and Tauride directions
The enemy conducted offensive actions. They were partly successful near Rubizhne. In particular, they are gaining a foothold on the western and northwestern outskirts of the city and moving towards the southern part of the city.
In the Popasna and Volnovakha directions, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations near the settlements of Verkhnotoretske and Mariinka. They incurred casualties. The enemy conducts regrouping of troops and replenishes stocks. The assault on Mariupol continues. The city is practically destroyed.
Zaporizhzhia direction
The invaders did not conduct active offensive operations here.
Pivdennyi Buh direction
The enemy conducted reconnaissance, organized the terrain of the positions occupied. They tried to carry out offensive actions in the Kryvyi Rih direction, took control of the settlement of Mala Shesternia, however, but were not generally successful. The enemy is gaining a foothold on their positions.
Tauride direction
The enemy continued to build up the system of material and technical support for the grouping of troops. A collecting point for damaged equipment has been deployed at the Dzhankoi airfield.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine notes that the invaders are trying to spread disinformation through all available communication channels. The population of the temporarily occupied territories and their own population are subject to information influence. The invader forms the myth of the "invincibility" of the armed forces of the Russian Federation.
The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine appeals to the media community with a request to limit the coverage of personal data of the Ukrainian military as much as possible. This applies to photographs containing the faces of officers (subunit commanders), geolocation, visual, address fixup to the places where they perform tasks.
Exclude photo and video recording, dissemination in the media of the exact territorial linkages of bomb shelters and other shelters for the civilians. This will help make it more difficult for the invaders to obtain information from open sources for launching missile and bomb strikes on civilian infrastructure.
