Latest information by General Staff of AFU as of morning of March 4

As of 06:20 on March 4, the fire in the training building of the Zaporizhzhia NPP in the city of Energodar was extinguished. There are no victims or affected.

The main efforts of the aggressor are focused on the besiegement of Kyiv and the weakening of resistance in the blocked settlements. In the course of dispatching this mission, the groupings of the RF Armed Forces exhausted most of the operational reserves and began preparing to deploy additional forces and facilities from the Southern and Eastern military districts. This is stated in the morning report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

In the Volyn direction, the enemy, with the help of two BTGs (battalion tactical groups), switched to defensive operations near the settlements of Poliske and Kukhari. It is not ruled out that the occupier will conduct armed provocations on the border in order to draw the armed forces of Belarus into the war against Ukraine.

In the Polissia direction, a grouping with up to 15 BTGs is sustaining an offensive operation in the Kozarovychi, Vyshhorod, Fastiv, and Obukhiv zone, concentrating efforts in the direction of Byshiv, and Ukraiinka. In the struggle for borders near the settlements of Poliske, Kukhari, Borodianka, Byshev, Horenychi, and Demydiv, the enemy partially lost its offensive potential.

The main enemy forces are blocked and stopped near Makariv. The invaders retreated from Bucha and the Hostomel airfield.

In the Siversk direction, a grouping of up to 14 BTGs is sustaining an offensive operation in the Oster, Zazymia; Berezan, and Vyshenky zone, concentrating efforts on advancing to Kyiv.

At the same time, the enemy is regrouping in order to continue the offensive in the direction of Brovary.

In the Slobidska direction, a grouping of up to 16 BTGs is sustaining an offensive operation, concentrating efforts on advancing to Novomoskovsk. They are blocking Kharkiv from the north. They seized Balakliia. The enemy did not achieve success near Akhtyrka and concentrated the main forces near Hadiach and Zinkiv.

In the Donetsk direction, the LDNR groupings bolstered with 7 BTGs from the 8th army of the Russian Federation continue offensive operations to exploit tactical success in the Novoiadar, Volnovakha, and Mariupol directions. They entered Novooleksandrivka. Having a significant advantage in equipment, the enemy surrounded Mariupol.

In the Luhansk direction, hostilities are on the way to Starobilsk.

In the Tauride direction, the enemy, with forces of up to 15 BTGs, concentrated efforts on the Mykolaiv—Voznesensk line. After regrouping and bringing in part of the operational reserves, the enemy continues the offensive on Zaporizhzhia, and with part of the forces—on Mariupol. Airborne assault units of the RF Armed Forces joined the operation in the direction of Mykolaiv.

The invaders were stopped on the way to Mykolaiv, but had partial success in the direction of Voznesensk.

In the Black Sea, the RF naval grouping left the naval bases with the mission of hitting the naval surface force of the Ukrainian Navy grouping.

At the same time, the enemy continues to prepare for an amphibious landing near Zatoka and Chernomorsk.
