Several thousand foreigners have already expressed their desire to join the International Legion. Hanna Maliar, Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, reported this on her Facebook page.
"We are creating an international legion. President Zelenskyy announced the formation of a new unit—the International Legion. We already have several thousand requests from foreign citizens who want to join the resistance to the Russian occupiers and the protection of world security from the Putin regime," Maliar wrote.
Context. The International Legion of Territorial Defense is being created in Ukraine. It will consist of foreigners who want to join the resistance to Russian aggressors and protect world security.
