All military and strategic sites of the Russian Federation have become available in the highest resolution in the Google Maps service. Now a variety of ICBM silos, command posts, secret training grounds, and so forth can be viewed with a resolution of about 0.5 meters per pixel. Previously, they were displayed in a much worse quality that did not allow for understanding the details. This is reported by Defense Express.
Now one can, for example, descry the base near Murmansk, where nuclear weapons are stored.
Or, like from space, to identify the launch position of an intercontinental ballistic missile.
However, according to Defense Express, such images are unlikely to have strategic value. Because images from military satellites have much better resolution.
