On December 9, the United States will announce sanctions against Ukrainian corrupt persons at the Summit for Democracy. The details are expected in the evening. Kristina Kvien, the US Charge d'Affaires in Ukraine, announced this at the conference 7 Years of Anti-Corruption Reform.
She stated that the Biden administration had included the fight against corruption in the theme of the summit that starts today. Ukraine is also taking part in this summit.
"I would like to say that there will be a very important announcement today at 17:30, please, watch it. It will focus on US sanctions that show a determination to hold corrupt persons accountable. You will probably recognize someone from this list," Kvien said.
