Battle casualties of Russian invaders as of May 2, 2022 — General Staff of AFU

During the day on May 1, the defenders of Ukraine destroyed 22 enemy tanks, 2 enemy aircraft, 8 artillery systems, and 26 UAVs.

This is reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total battle casualties of the enemy from 24.02 to 2.05 approximately amounted to:

  • personnel — about 23,800 (+300);
  • tanks — 1,048 (+22);
  • APV — 2,519 (+48);
  • artillery systems — 459 (+8);
  • MLRS — 152 (+1),
  • Anti-aircraft warfare systems — 80 (+0);
  • aircraft — 194 (+2);
  • helicopters — 155 (+0);
  • vehicles and fuel tanks — 1,824 (+28);
  • boats/cutters — 8 (+0);
  • UAV operational-tactical level — 271 (+26);
  • special equipment — 38 (+6);
  • cruise missiles — 84 (+0).

"The heaviest losses of the enemy (during the last 24 hours) were recorded in the Izium direction. The data is being updated," the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine specified.

The General Staff also informed that the Russian boats destroyed this morning will be included in the summary of total losses tomorrow, May 3, due to the settings of the counting algorithm.
