Russian troops fired missiles at the village of Desna in the Chernihiv region, where the training center of the Armed Forces is located. The shelling took place around 5 am, the aircraft fired four missiles, two of them hit the building. This is reported by the head of the Chernihiv Military Administration Viacheslav Chaus on his Telegram channel.
The outlet Suspilne, citing the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in the Chernihiv region, reports that eight people were killed as a result of the airstrike. Another 12 are injured.
The village of Desna is located close to the border of the Kyiv region. There is a training center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine "Desna" next to it.
