The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced the nominees for the 96th Academy Awards. 20 Days in Mariupol by Mstyslav Chernov has been nominated for Best Documentary Feature Film.
The movie hasn’t won a nomination for International Feature Film, although it was shortlisted.
The nominees were announced by the Academy.
The award ceremony will be held on March 11 at 1:00 a.m. Kyiv time at the Dolby® Theatre in Hollywood.

20 Days in Mariupol
The film is the directorial debut of Mstyslav Chernov, a war correspondent, photographer, videographer, and writer. Photographer Yevhen Maloletka and producer and journalist Vasylysa Stepanenko also contributed to the documentary. They were the last journalists to cover the beginning of the destruction of Mariupol by the Russians and were awarded the Pulitzer Prize for it.
The movie premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in the United States and was given the Audience Award.
