On the night of June 24, loud explosions were heard in Zaporizhzhia. Oleksandr Starukh, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, specified that the Russians shelled the suburbs of the regional center from rocket artillery.
"Preliminary, infrastructure facilities around one of the settlements near the regional center were hit. There were no hits in the city itself," he reported.
The village of Balabino, located 15 km from Zaporizhzhia, was shelled. Civilian infrastructure was destroyed, there were no casualties.
The units of the Ukrainian troops managed to stop the shelling thanks to the successful counterbattery fire. Our defenders destroyed the enemy Uragan MLRS and Msta-B howitzer.
