The Verkhovna Rada reintroduces duties and VAT on imported goods and customs clearance for cars. The rules will come into effect on July 1, 2022. This was announced by MP Yaroslav Zhelezniak on Telegram.
The corresponding government bill was supported in two readings at once — 234 votes "in favor".
Early in April 2022, a law came into force in Ukraine, exempting the import of goods to Ukraine from import duties and VAT for businesses. The law also exempted from paying taxes when importing vehicles into Ukraine.
According to customs, more than 19,000 cars were imported under the privileged regime. This entails problems for the import of humanitarian aid.
