On the basis of the European Command of the U.S. Armed Forces in Stuttgart, a control center was opened to coordinate shipments of arms to Ukraine.
This is reported by CNN, referring to a senior representative of the Ministry of Defense.
The new structure in Germany will coordinate and step up the shipments of military assistance to Ukraine from more than 40 countries. In the European Command Control Center of Ukraine, in addition to American specialists, there are also employees from 15 countries.
Mykhailo Podolyak, Adviser to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, in this regard, noted the opposite effect of the "demilitarization" of Ukraine for the Russian Federation. After the meeting of defense ministers of 40 countries, the capacity, speed, logistics, and expanded range of arms supplies to Ukraine are significantly increasing.
The group of allies will meet once a month, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said earlier Tuesday. The first meeting was organized by Austin at Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany on Tuesday.
"One of Russia's odd demands at the start of the war was the "full demilitarization" of Ukraine. After yesterday's epochal meeting of 40 defense ministers, I have bad news for Russia. Capacity, speed, simplified logistics, an expanded range of weapons of Ukraine is strengthening," Podolyak tweeted.
Recall that yesterday, April 26, in Ramstein (Germany), the first meeting of the International Advisory Group on the Defense of Ukraine, which was convened by U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, was held. It was attended by the heads of defense ministries of 40 countries, including the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksii Reznikov.
