On Sunday, August 22, at about 6:50 am, an Il-76MD military transport aircraft of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine that evacuated 83 people from Afghanistan landed at the Boryspil airport. The plane was met by Minister of Foreeign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba and head of the Office of the President' Andriy Yermak.
It is reported that among the evacuees there are 31 Ukrainians, as well as citizens of other states. In particular, 12 Ukrainians returned, who worked as security guards at the military base. Foreign journalists and public figures were also rescued and asked for help.
