Ukraine’s Armed Forces already have the minimum weapons to start a counteroffensive, which is planned to start in the near future. The Chief of the Ukrainian Defense Intelligence, Kyrylo Budanov, said this in an interview with the Japanese TV channel NHK.
"We already have the minimum weapons we need. I can only say that the offensive will start in the near future," the official told the broadcaster.
According to Budanov, the Ukrainian military still needs significant reserves of both weapons and ammunition to successfully continue its operations.
"We need more weapons. We need fighter jets. I hope the international community is really ready to support us," said Budanov.
