The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine redeemed the third and final issue of five-year US guaranteed Eurobonds in the amount of $1 billion.
The transaction was made in full on September 29, the Finance Ministry reported.
"We look forward to the continuation of budget support from the US government in the future, not only to successfully overcome the effects of coronavirus infection but also to support reforms and restore sustainable economic growth," Yuriy Butsa, Government Commissioner for Public Debt Management, noted.
The debt securities were issued at the end of September 2016 with a yield rate of 1.471% per annum. For the use of borrowed funds for the entire period of circulation of securities, $7.35 million of interest charges were paid for using borrowed funds for the entire period of securities trading.
Context. Earlier, Ukraine has already redeemed two similar issues of five-year US guaranteed Eurobonds in the amount of $1 billion each, placed in May 2014 at 1.844% per annum and in May 2015 at 1.847% per annum.
