The Cabinet has restricted entry to Ukraine for foreigners due to coronavirus

The Cabinet of Ministers has adopted new rules for entering Ukraine. From now on, foreigners will have to present a negative coronavirus test in order to cross the Ukrainian border.

The corresponding resolution was adopted by the government at an extraordinary meeting on March 22.

This rule applies to absolutely all foreign citizens, regardless of whether the situation with the coronavirus is better in the country from where the person has arrived or not.

The term of the PCR test result should not exceed 48 hours at the time of the border crossing.

According to the Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov, such restrictions apply in all European countries.

Context. Earlier, the Cabinet changed the rules for crossing the border of Ukraine by foreigners. Thus, only those foreigners and stateless persons who have an insurance policy that covers the costs of COVID-19 treatment and observation and is valid for the entire period of their stay in Ukraine can enter the country.
