The value of one hectare of agricultural land in Ukraine will grow by 7—10% annually. This was stated by the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Roman Leshchenko, the outlet Interfax-Ukraine reports.
"The value of Ukrainian land will increase. In this matter, I rely on the success of the land reform implementation in the EU countries. The value of one hectare of agricultural land in Poland, which carried out a land reform 20 years ago, is about 10,000 euros," Leshchenko stated.
According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, today 28,000 transactions on 70,000 hectares of agricultural land have been concluded in Ukraine. The largest number of transactions was registered in Kharkiv (2,332), Kyiv (2,318), and Poltava regions (2,314). The largest amount of land was sold in Kirovohrad (9,938 ha), Kharkiv (9,141.2 ha), and Poltava (6,294 ha) regions.
Context. On July 1, a land market was launched in Ukraine. For the first time in 30 years of independence, Ukrainians obtained the right to buy and sell land plots.
In early July, the law on electronic auctions on the land market came into force in Ukraine. State land can only be purchased during online auctions. All information on land tenders will be provided in electronic form, for example, how much a hectare of agricultural land will cost.
