Almost $200 million has been donated to Ukraine through the UNITED24 platform, which has been working for five months already. About 1,000 drones for the Ukrainian army and thousands of pieces of medical equipment were bought. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this in his Telegram post.
"Almost 200 million dollars in donations have already been raised. About 1,000 drones for the military and thousands of medical equipment for medical workers have been purchased," the president wrote.
Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine will continue to draw the world’s attention to the needs of its defense.
Context. The UNITED24 charity platform was created on the initiative of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Its purpose is to look for partners who will raise money to support Ukraine. The money is transferred to accounts in the National Bank of Ukraine and then allocated by relevant ministries for the most pressing needs.
