The Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Ukraine still doesn’t see signs of genocide against the people of Ukraine. Erik Møse, Chair of the Commission, said this, as reported by Interfax-Ukraine.
"At the current stage, we have not yet come to the conclusion that genocide is taking place in Ukraine. Let me tell you that we are well aware of the concerns and accusations regarding this crime. We are investigating this step by step," said Møse at a press conference in Kyiv.
He underscored that the Commission would proceed with the investigation. Møse also noted that the UN discovered numerous Russian war crimes in Ukraine. The Commission plans to report on its findings to the UN General Assembly in October 2023 and to the Human Rights Council in March 2024.
