The "red" zone of epidemic danger in Ukraine has expanded

The Ministry of Health has published indicators to identify regions with significant COVID-19 prevalence as of March 21.

The Kyiv region has also got into the list of "red" regions. Now this zone contains:

  • Kyiv;
  • Kyiv region;
  • Zhytomyr region;
  • Zakarpattia region;
  • Ivano-Frankivsk region;
  • Odesa region;
  • Chernivtsi region.

The "orange" zone contains Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Luhansk, Lviv, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Sumy, Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, and Chernihiv regions.

The rest of the regions are in the "yellow" quarantine zone.

Context. In the Kyiv region, by the decision of the regional authorities, an enhanced quarantine has come into force on March 21. The new restrictions will be in effect until the situation with the coronavirus in the region improves.

The KSCA introduced the same quarantine in Kyiv for three weeks from March 20.

By the decision of the State Commission on Technogenic and Environmental Safety and Emergencies, from March 23 in the city of Kyiv and the Odesa region, restrictions of the "red" quarantine zone will come into force.
