A doctor from the Dnipropetrovsk region received the first court verdict in Ukraine for forging COVID certificates. The health worker from Pavlohrad was ordered to pay 34,000 UAH in fines and was deprived of the right to medical practice for a year, according to the press service of the Ministry of Health.
On the fact of falsification of "kovidnyh" certificates, The law enforcement officers carried out 13 searches in a week, as well as began 12 criminal proceedings into forging "covid" certificates.
Context. A covid certificate is an electronic (in some cases—paper) document you can easily travel across the EU countries with. Olha Stefanishyna, Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration of Ukraine, calls the certificate "a small visa-free access", since its electronic version is recognized by the EU countries as a document that meets all international standards.
In late September, the Ministry of Health (MoH) launched an initiative to remove the heads of hospitals where vaccination certificates had been forged. In the event of a repeated violation, the Ministry plans to revoke the hospital's license and terminate the contract between the institution and the National Health Service (NHSU).
