On Tuesday, January 3, SpaceX launched Ukrainian satellites into orbit from the Cape Canaveral launch site, the U.S.: the PolyITAN-HP-30 nanosatellite and the EOS SAT-1 private satellite. Almost 10,000 viewers watched the launch live. The satellites were carried into orbit by a Space-X Falcon 9 rocket.

EOS Data Analytics has sent its first satellite out of seven ones into space. The live stream, held by Ukrainian researchers, was joined by EOSDA specialists, who talked about the technical and scientific features of the satellite as well as its influence on climate change.

EOS SAT is the first satellite constellation oriented towards agriculture among companies involved in remote sensing of the Earth. EOS SAT will reduce carbon emissions and help develop sustainable agriculture.

The PolyITAN-HP-30 nanosatellite was made at the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. Its purpose is to study the effectiveness of heat pipes as a primary element of the thermal stabilization systems of spacecraft.
