Quote"The investigative group of the Russian Federation is investigating the sabotage at the Chkalovsky airfield, as a result two planes and one helicopter were significantly damaged on September 18, 2023," the message says.

Government planes, so-called "doomsday planes", and special reconnaissance planes are based at the airfield.

According to Ukrainian intelligence, the saboteurs planted explosives on the heavily guarded airfield. Two planes, AN-148 and IL-20, and a Mi-28N helicopter later detonated. The Russians extensively used the helicopter to shoot down drones over the Moscow Oblast.
