Since Russia started massive missile attacks on energy facilities in Ukraine, it has damaged about 40% of the energy infrastructure. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this during a meeting with European Commissioner for Energy Kadri Simson.
According to the head of the Ukrainian state, Ukraine and its partners need to create a platform to support the Ukrainian economy, in particular, in the field of energy. According to Zelenskyy, the Ukraine Defense Contact Group (Ramstein format) could be an example.
"Today, the issue of energy goes hand in hand with the financial crisis and the shortage of weapons, therefore such a platform should be created," said the President of Ukraine.
Context. On October 31, Russia once again struck the critical infrastructure of Ukraine. As a result, many Ukrainian cities were left without power, water, mobile communication, or Internet access.
