Ukraine will receive fighter jets from Poland in the next 1 to 1.5 months. According to the Polish media outlet DoRzeczy, the prime minister of Poland, Mateusz Morawiecki, made the announcement during a press conference.
"This can happen in the next four to six weeks," the head of the government said, answering a journalist’s question.
Earlier, on March 9, at a meeting of EU defense ministers, Poland and Slovakia agreed on providing Ukraine with MiG-29 fighter jets. On March 2, 2023, Jaroslav Naď confirmed that Slovakia planned on giving Ukraine 10 Soviet-made MiG-29 fighter jets. He noted that the final decision was to be agreed upon within the following few days or weeks.
