The Ministry of Health has told why there is no paid vaccine against coronavirus in Ukraine. And it will not appear soon

None of the vaccine companies sell drugs against coronavirus to the commercial market. That is why a free state vaccination program will proceed in Ukraine for the time being.

This was stated by Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov on the air of the channel Ukraine 24.

At the same time, the Head of the Ministry of Health did not name any time frame when the vaccine might appear freely available on the commercial market.

"We are interested in any vaccine appearing on the commercial market as soon as possible. I always appeal to all pharmaceutical companies: if you have the opportunity, import those vaccines that are already registered in Ukraine, we will quickly carry out all the formalities for it to appear."

Context. Vaccination in Ukraine began on February 24. Before that, 500,000 doses of the vaccine Covishield (the Indian analogue of the AstraZeneca vaccine) had been delivered to Ukraine.
